You will see
- An award-winning olive oil estate
- The stunning scenery of Waiheke Island
- Two of the Island's top wineries
From Cruise Port: Auckland
Make sure you have booked yourself on the 9am Fullers ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island - the scenic trip takes 45 minutes and offers a stunning cruise across the Auckland harbour past the naval dockyard of Devonport and the volcanic island of Rangitoto. Your guide will be waiting for you at the Matiatia wharf and your island tour commences with a drive along the scenic northern route, taking in spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf and beyond to the Coromandel Peninsula.
Our most popular tour, you will visit three vineyards each offering a range of gourmet tastes to accompany their wines. Treats may include oysters straight from Te Matuku Bay, Waiheke olive oil and Waiheke honey.
Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch, served family-style at the third vineyard overlooking the vines (dietaries catered for). From here you will have time to explore Oneroa Village where you can walk along Oneroa Beach, visit some of the local shops including Island Gelato, The Waiheke Wine Centre and the Island Grocer or choose to sit in a caf/bar overlooking the bay before being returned to the ferry back to Auckland.
Due to seasonal availability, Te Matuku oysters may not be available but they will be substituted with another gourmet treat.
If you wish, from here you can stay on for dinner (at your own expense) and make your own way back to the ferry when you are ready or alternatively the guide will return you to the Waiheke Wharf in time to catch the 4pm ferry back to Auckland.
